Wood burner installation in Liverpool

With a rich and culturally diverse history, no two Liverpool streets are the same, so we plan each installation to work with the house in front of us.

  • Terraced streets
Across Kensington, Walton, Anfield, and Wavertree, terraces were built with a fireplace often upstairs and downstairs. Even if yours have long since been boarded up, opening them up is simple: we just reline an old chimney with a new liner.
  • Victorian villas
Larger homes around Sefton Park, Aigburth, and Mossley Hill tend to have generous chimney breasts and high ceilings, meaning you can choose a bigger stove and a statement chamber or beam.
  • Inter-war semis
In Allerton, Childwall, and Woolton, 1930s semis typically have a chimney breast in the front room that would suit a mid-sized stove.
  • City centre and waterfront flats
Apartments usually don’t have a chimney, and a stove isn’t always possible. In this instance, a twin wall flue (with freeholder’s permission) is the go-to solution!

Wood-burning stoves in Liverpool

The whole of Liverpool is inside smoke control areas - most were set up between the late 1950s and early 1980s. In recent years, Liverpool council has been working to replace around 40 separate orders with a single one that covers the whole city.

What this means for Liverpudlians is that wood-burning stoves need to be Defra-approved to legally burn properly dried logs - most packaging will carry a ‘Ready to Burn’ label so you can check before purchasing.

If you’d prefer a multi-fuel stove, installers Liverpool-wide (like us) will fit those too, as long as you only burn dry wood or other authorised smokeless fuel.

Great service, quick to respond to initial query and Callum always responded to any queries in between I had too. Stove looks great, was surprised how quick the two lads get.the job done as it's all spot on. Can't wait for the winter now!

Log burners Liverpool locals love

With all customers, we always advise you to price it up first. With our online stove builder, you can see live prices of your stove, then add the chamber, hearth, and beam, so you always know what to expect.

Then, if you are ready to arrange a home visit and installation, contact our Merseyside team to confirm the details of your house and chimney and book in your installation.

On the day, our HETAS-registered fitters will line the flue, install the stove, add the chamber and hearth, and clean up after themselves so you can enjoy your new centrepiece without a separate building control sign-off appointment. This also means we can get you your certificate without any additional delay.
